We have two gatherings on a Sunday in our church building with structured activities for various age groups, and we’d love to welcome you.
We meet each Sunday at the church at 10:30am and 6:30pm. A Sunday School, a group called Engage for teenagers, and a créche facility all run concurrently with the morning service after the first 15 minutes during which the whole church family meets together.
We seek to strike a balance in our services that reflects the fact there is much of value in both the traditional approach and the less structured approach to worship. The content of our services does vary to some extent from week to week. Our services always have a substantial preaching component of consecutive Bible teaching.
Teaching is normally given by the Ministers. Other members of the church and visiting preachers also preach from time to time.
We meet around the Lord's table as part of the morning service on the third Sunday in each month and as part of the evening service on the first Sunday in each month and welcome all those to join with us who are walking in fellowship with the Lord and with His people.
The details of our upcoming services are available on the Church Calendar. When viewing the calendar, double click on a service or an event to view the full details including the speaker, passage, and title. Our Sunday School runs on Sunday mornings during the morning service and caters for children from age 3 to the end of School year 6 (usually 11 years old).
Sunday School begins with 'Open Time' when we all meet together to sing, pray, enjoy quizzes and learning from the Bible.
During this time we have, on occasion, welcomed visitors from Romania, Kenya, India, South Africa, Thailand and the Middle East who have told us about their lives and the way they are able to show God's love to children and adults in the countries where they are living.
Following time together we separate into classes where children are taught the good news about Jesus in an age-appropriate way. Bible stories are told and drama, puppets, music, art and craft are all used to communicate Biblical truth in ways that are fun, friendly and interactive.
All of our teachers are DBS checked and have attended the necessary child protection training as well as training to equip them to communicate God's truth to children.
ENGAGE group (Years 7-10) Sunday Mornings.
Engage is a group that meets on Sunday mornings in Coffee Bar. It helps young people to get to grips with the bible in an accessible way, and in making the ‘leap’ from Sunday School to sermons in the main meeting. Our aim is to help young people enjoy discovering and applying bible truths for themselves, and we use a variety of approaches week by week.
