Community Support

As a Fellowship we support local community projects that aim to relieve the need of hardship suffered by the less well-off or older members of our community, as well as the work amongst un-churched children and young people in the name of Jesus Christ.

Organisations that we support in particular are:-

Bridgemead residential and nursing home

Bridgemead is a residential and nursing home for older people that was established in 1992 and which was inspired by a group of people from Widcombe Baptist Church in response to a particular need. It aims to provide the best quality care to older people who are residents as well as Day Care and respite clients in a distinctly Christian context. Bridgemead accepts clients who are Christians as well as those from other faiths or no faith and is therefore a significant work.

Members of Widcombe Baptist Church act as Trustees and volunteers in a number of different contexts.
