Students - The Team

Seeking for students at Widcombe Baptist Church to be rooted and built up in Christ. [Colossians 2:6‑7]

"Whether you are returning to Bath, or coming for the first time, we look forward to giving you a warm welcome in our services and at Grounded." Clover Todman (Pastor)

Clover

Clover

Clover has spent most his life as a lawyer but is now one of the pastors at this church. He’s married to Melissa and has two hyperactive girls who can often be found cartwheeling everywhere or climbing on Tom.

Melissa

Melissa

Melissa is married to Clover and came to study at Bath Uni not quite so recently! She is currently working as an Architect in town as well as being a mum of two. If you can’t find her, she is often hiding away in the church kitchen!

Tom

Tom

Tom, originally from Bedfordshire was a student at Bath whilst he studied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, he's now part of the team as a Ministry Trainee. If you can't find Tom he's probably out on his bike climbing one of the many hills around Bath.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth

Elizabeth has spent the last four years talking about maths, primarily - but not exclusively - at the University of Bath. She’s now a Ministry Trainee, so you’ll probably find her in the church, either talking about tea (in German) or playing the ukulele!

Jess

Jess

Jess has just finished studying maths at the University of Bath, and is now a Ministry Trainee at Widcombe. She’s spent most of her life in Cambridgeshire, but is still proud of her slight Northern accent which comes out when she says ‘Bath’. Jess likes walking, loves reading and enjoys sleeping on the floor.

Michael

Michael

Michael moved to Bath from Kent five years ago to do a mechanical engineering degree. Michael has been involved with the CU at uni, and in his spare time likes history, music from forty years ago and (unfortunately for him) following QPR. He also likes trains.

Naomi

Naomi

Naomi is originally from Berkshire and came to Bath 3 years ago to do a Graphic Design Degree. As a student she enjoyed serving as a part of the CU committee. When she moved to Bath, her family moved to Scotland! She now enjoys taking holidays in the wild and wet North. As a designer you might find her at Christmas muttering under her breath, “I wouldn’t put that bauble there.”

Sam

Sam

Sam grew up in sunny Sussex before studying engineering at Bath Uni. He's now spending a year working for Widcombe. In his spare time Sam enjoys running, watching cricket, and cooking food from exotic places.

Stephen

Stephen

Stephen first came to Widcombe in 2005. He skipped university, doing an engineering apprenticeship at a Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Equipment manufacturer, where he continues to work. He is often found playing bass in the church band. In the summer, he spends many hours playing bowls. When not playing bowls or doing church stuff, he tries to maintain interests in too many sports, old vehicles, guitars and country music.
